Working group for the renovation of Halsterseweg north

In the preliminary phase of the redesign, a working group was active in which the residents, the Halsteren Village Council and the Fietsersbond (Accessible Bergen op Zoom) were represented.

During the process, attention was paid to aspects of accessibility. The chairman of the Fietsersbond has drawn attention to these aspects because of his expertise.

This concerned in particular the width of the sidewalks and the safe crossing of the Randweg Noord, from the Halsterseweg from Intratuin to the bus stop and crossing side streets, especially to and from the Oudeweg.

Accessibility during performance

During the work, especially in consultation with the residents, accessibility will have to be a point of discussion for the residents themselves and for their visitors. In addition, appropriate measures will have to be taken with regard to the temporary routes and diversion routes in the case of busy destinations. Road builders themselves have a lot of knowledge and experience with this aspect.
